Basic English for International Cooperation
This course equips teachers and school staff with the practical English skills needed for Erasmus+ mobilities, international projects, and school partnerships. Through role-plays and real-life simulations, participants practice communication for meetings, school visits, exchanges and collaboration with international colleagues. The program combines language development with cultural immersion, empowering educators to host, collaborate and engage in international contexts confidently.

The course is held in English. An English A2 (CEFR) level is recommended, but trainers are experienced in helping students with English language difficulties.

- Describing national systems of education
- Discussing teaching methods & classroom practices

- Visit to a local school to practice hosting skills
- Lunch with a Portuguese teacher (informal networking)
- Team building: kayaking on Ria Formosa in Fuseta and beach time
Day 3
- Designing a study visit at school (for students and/or teachers);
- Guiding tours of your school building - describing facilities and school organisation
- Coffee break
- Participating in project meetings (roles, agenda, outcomes)
- Lunch
- Heritage tour: Faro Old Town
- Boat trip to Faro Beach
Day 4
- Visit to the local market in Olhão
- Describing nature and the environment – visit to Farol Island
Day 5
- Presenting mini-projects in English (group work)
- Group reflection on observed practices and their adaptability
- Course evaluation
- Certificate awarding
Day 6
- Visit to Vila Real de Santo António – a Portuguese town designed as a model urban plan, later used in the reconstruction of Lisbon
- Crossing the Guadiana River to Ayamonte – a Spanish border town
- Lunch
- Visit to the Castle of Castro Marim or free time at the beach
Note: The course program can be changed according to participant's profile, local holidays or on the availability of schools to visit.

Course fee: 480,00€ per participant (click for detail)
- All participants will receive a Certificate of Participation and a Declaration of Obtained Competencies, officially recognising the skills acquired during the course.
- These competencies can also be validated within the Europass Mobility framework; participants should request that their National Agency issue the Europass. (For more information, see our website: Documents > Europass Mobility).
- Our courses are aligned with the European Framework for the Digital Competence of Educators (DigCompEdu), and the provided documentation can support further recognition of the training.
Participants are responsible for arranging their own accommodation. ACJ will guide participants to recommended hotels across a range of prices, but they are free to choose any hotel or restaurant they prefer. Our staff have lunch daily at a nearby restaurant that offers good quality food at affordable prices - you are welcome to join them.
All accommodation and meal costs are to be paid directly by participants to the respective hotels and restaurants.
During the course, lunches and coffee will also be available at or near the training venue.
