Understand ICT educational integration advantages and problems, learn and experience the use of the newest apps to maximize the benefits of the use of mobile devices in education and collaborative work, learn how to use Smartphones and tablets to plan and prepare lessons, explore contents and to monitor and assess student performance.

* The course is held in the English language. An English A2 (CEFR) level is recommended, but trainers are experienced in helping students with English language difficulties.

* El curso se imparte en lengua inglesa. Se recomienda un nivel de inglés A2 (MCER), aunque los formadores tienen experiencia en ayudar a los estudiantes con dificultades en el idioma. Además, podemos ofrecer apoyo en español si es necesario.

  • Using GPS guiding apps to explore educational pathways: exploring City/Lajes do Pico.
 
Day 2
  • Integrating ICT and mobile devices in the classroom;
  • Coffee break;
  • Maximizing the use and the benefits of e-learning tools;
  • Lunch
  • ICT tools and apps for planning and preparing lessons;
  • Coffee break;
  • Application group task.
 
Day 3
  • Tools and app to deliver and explore contents;
  • Coffee break;
  • Tools and app to deliver and explore contents.

Day 4
  • Visit local upper secondary school: observing infrastructures, resources and attending lessons;

  • Cultural activity:
    • Faro, Algarve: boat trip visiting sand islands in Ria Formosa.

 

Note: The course program can be changed according to participant's profile, local holidays or on the availability of schools to visit.

Course methodology
  • Brief introduction to each of the topics;
  • Participants share experiences and best practices on each topic in group and plenary sessions;
  • Participants experiment the use of ICT tools, install, configure and explore tools and apps;
  • Participants visit public and private schools, from different levels and observe infrastructures and resources and its usage;
  • Participants observe lessons: teaching, studying and learning processes in classrooms in small groups or individually.
  • Individually or in groups, participants prepare lessons, using ICT tools and apps.
 

Course fees

Course fee: 380,00€ per participant (click for detail)

The training course's fee is 380€ + VAT 80,5€* per participant, including coffee breaks (with traditional Portuguese surprises) and materials. Mint.Edu will only charge this amount to each participant. The fee is based on the daily 70€ Erasmus+ funding;

* VAT will be 0% (0€) when registering with a valid VAT - Number/Business ID/fiscal code or number.

Cultural visits and meals are paid separately;

Algarve cultural visit has the cost of 50€. Participants not willing to join the cultural visit must notify Mint.Edu 15 days before the course starts.

 

Certification

All participants will receive a Certificate of Participation and a Declaration of Obtained Competencies, officially recognizing the skills gained during the course.

The acquired competences will also be validated within the Europass Mobility framework — participants should request that their National Agency issue the Europass.  (Visit our website Documents > Europass mobility)

Our courses are aligned with the European Framework for the Digital Competence of Educators (DigCompEdu), and the provided documentation can support the recognition of non-formal learning (VNFIL/RPL) and participation in emerging European schemes for educators’ digital skills.

 

Accommodation and Meals

Participants are responsible for booking their own accommodation. ACJ will provide guidance on recommended hotels across different price ranges, but participants are free to choose hotels and restaurants according to their preference. Our staff enjoy lunch daily at a nearby restaurant offering good quality at affordable prices — you are welcome to join them!

All accommodation and meals are paid directly by participants to the hotels and restaurants.

During the course, lunches and coffee will also be available on or near the University of Algarve campus, where the training takes place.
