Experience the future of teaching and learning by making a selective adoption of ICT tools, devices and apps. Understand IT educational use, integration and continuous innovation. Learn how to select the best options for your class, for your student's levels and subjects. Experience the use of the newest apps to optimize teaching tasks and to work collaboratively. Learn how to select and use apps to plan and prepare lessons, explore contents, monitor your student's perception and assess student performance.

* The course is held in the English language. English A2 (CEFR) level is recommended, but trainers are experienced in helping students with English language difficulties.

Course program

Day 1
Course and participant presentation; Understanding Mobile devices hardware and Operating Systems; Using and managing mobile devices.

Day 2
Integrating ICT and mobile devices in the classroom; Selecting devices and applications; Selecting and assessing device usage and application results; Maximizing the use and the benefits of ICT in education towards continuous innovation; ICT tools and apps for planning and preparing lessons and educational tasks; Application group task.

Day 3
Tools and apps to explore contents, monitor and assess student performance; Group task: complete lesson preparation and implementation using ICT tools; ICT Tools and apps to work collaboratively; ICT Tools and apps to collect data and generating reports.

Day 4
A virtual visit to the most iconical sites in Algarve, using digital resources; Using apps to ease all steps of the teaching and learning process.

Day 5
Selecting apps for specific student groups, subjects, contents and procedures; Course evaluation; Certification.

Note: The course program can be changed according to participant's profile, local holidays or other unpredictable reasons.

Target group

Primary school teachers, Secondary school teachers, School staff and School managers.

Course methodology

Brief introduction to each of the topics;
Participants share experiences and best practices on each topic in the group and plenary sessions;
Participants experiment the use of ICT tools, install, configure and explore tools and apps;
Individually or in groups, participants prepare lessons, using ICT tools and apps.
